Bone Marrow Donor Sign-Up

Every 3 minutes, someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer or disorder like leukemia or lymphoma.  For many, a bone marrow transplant is their best - or only - chance at survival.  The challenge is to have a bone marrow registry with enough people in it to find a match for everyone who needs one.  Punk Rock Saves Lives takes this challenge seriously.  If you are between the ages of 18-40, a representative from PRSL will be at the library to take a quick swab of your cheek and get some contact info from you.  The entire process takes less than five minutes and is completely painless.  No prior registration or appointment is necessary, just look for Ashley from Punk Rock Saves Lives on our main level in our adult non-fiction area.
