In her compelling book, Saving Abigail:  The True Story of the Abduction and Rescue of a Three-Year-Old Hostage, author Liz Hirsh Naftali recounts the harrowing ordeal of her great-niece, Abigail Mor Edan, a three-year-old who was taken hostage by Hamas during their October 7, 2023 attack in Israel.

Hirsh Naftali details the family's relentless efforts to secure Abigail's release including high-level meetings with President Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris and culminating in Abigail's freedom after 51 days in captivity.  Hirsh Naftali's account goes beyond the trauma endured by Abigail and also explores the broader implications of terrorism and the resilience required to overcome such adversity.
